One of the most speculated and ridiculed marriages in the first place, Anna Nicole Smith's money hungry story just keeps getting better. Now, after her very mysterious and awkwardly sudden death, a fight in the courts is going on about who her money, which she got a hold of from her late husband, J. Howard Marshall II who was a rich oil baron in Texas, is actually going to go to and why.
In her will, Anna Nicole Smith leaves everything to her already dead son, Daniel. The only other could-be beneficiary is Smith's daughter, Danielynn, who is only five months old. That is where the problem arises. In the will, wording seems to exclude anyone else from the inheritance besides her only dead son. In doing so, a court case was inevitable over who the money would go to, because Ms. Smith's only other living child is still a baby.
The case is not only about whom the money goes to, because obviously it comes along with whoever gets custody of the young Danielynn, but who the baby's real father actually is. Several men are now coming out of the woodwork to claim past relationships and affairs with the dead Smith, and as it seem, are just in it for the money.
Howard K. Stern, Smith's partner, and Larry Birkhead, her former lover are both claiming to be the young Danielynn's father, as well as Alexander Denk, her past bodyguard and Frederic von Anhalt, who is claiming a decade long affair which ended a short time ago. Paternity testing for the four men is underway and soon the public will know who exactly lays claim to that large sum of money.
It seems almost funny and even predictable how Anna Nicole Smith's mysterious death leads to many people now claiming to be the sole inheritor of her money, almost exactly how she got her hands on the huge fortune in the first place. In a ridiculously twisted sideshow-esque form of a serious court case, someone will soon have custody of a very young child and around eighty eight million dollars, the latter which they were actually trying to obtain.
